Apparently, Black Friday now requires the entire month of November.
A calendar. A shopping list. And remembering whether we already used that free membership trial.
MA’AM. We just wanted a good deal. 😂
So I am pulling the latest information into one place. Who is having a sale, when it starts, which toys are making the holiday lists, and what we should know before we get distracted by a big red SALE sign.

🛍️ Hottest Deals: What Is Happening and When?
First, the actual dates: Black Friday is Friday, November 27. Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30. But the shopping starts well before then. Amazon’s holiday FAQ
Target: November 5 to 7
Target’s three-day Early Black Friday Sale starts tomorrow, November 5, and runs through November 7.
Its Deal of the Day is already underway, with daily offers through December 24. This year, Target also gives shoppers a preview of the next day’s deal.
Now THAT is helpful. Let me see what tomorrow holds before I make today’s questionable cart decisions. 😂

Walmart: Three Events to Put on Your Calendar
Walmart has announced:

| Cyber Monday | November 30 to December 2 |
The early event starts online November 12 at 12:01 a.m. ET, with stores starting at 6 a.m. local time.
The main event starts online November 23 at 12:01 a.m. ET. Its in-store Black Friday sale begins November 27 at 6 a.m. local time.
Here is the membership detail worth reading: select online hot Deal drops are reserved for Walmart+ members during the first 24 hours, while supplies last. That does not mean every sale item requires Walmart+. Walmart’s official announcement

Best Buy: Early Deals Start November 6
Best Buy’s Early Black Friday Deals and Doorbusters begin Friday, November 6, with new deals dropping every Friday.
Its main event starts November 19, bringing 10 days of Black Friday doorbusters and deals. Cyber Week offers follow December 1 to 6.
One more detail for the organized shoppers among us: most purchases made October 30 through December 31 qualify for returns through January 15, 2027. Plus and Total members generally have through January 31. Exclusions apply. Best Buy’s holiday calendar

Amazon: Still Waiting on the U.S. Event Dates
Amazon’s official U.S. Black Friday information points shoppers toward early Holiday Shop deals, but does not yet give its full 2026 sale schedule.
You may see predicted start dates floating around. We are keeping those in the “waiting for confirmation” pile.

Target’s Bullseye Top Toys
Target’s list has 50 picks starting at $4.99, with more than half exclusive to Target. Featured brands include LEGO, Barbie, Disney and Nintendo.
That gives us a place to start across different budgets. Because a Christmas list should have options besides “expensive” and “please sit down before you see the price.” Target’s official toy announcement
🏆 Toy of the Year: Who Won?
Primal Hatch by Spin Master won the 2026 Toy of the Year award, along with Action Figure of the Year.
It is an interactive T. rex that hatches from an egg and can be trained by kids.
So now we are raising dinosaurs.
I have questions about the household responsibilities involved. 😂
The People’s Choice award went to the Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution Elite Trainer Box. These awards were announced in February, so they recognize award winners rather than November sales rankings. The Toy Association’s official winners
👀 2026 Best: What I Am Watching
Looking across the holiday lists, a few themes keep showing up: interactive toys, familiar characters, collectibles, and sensory play.
Bluey, Pokémon, KPop Demon Hunters, and toys that hatch, sing, roar or giggle give us plenty to investigate. My starting points are the Toy Insider’s picks and Amazon’s holiday list.
But “popular” and “right for your person” are two different things.
Check the age range. Think about what they actually enjoy. And please check whether batteries are included before Christmas morning becomes a family search mission.
💋 Before We Shop Till We Drop
Here is our little prep list:
- Write down who you are buying for.
- Give each person a budget.
- Save the exact product names, sizes and model numbers.
- Compare prices before believing the discount.
- Check membership requirements and shipping costs.
- Read the return deadline.
- Keep receipts and order confirmations.
And leave a little time between “OOH, CUTE” and “place order.”
