It is the heart of your soul that holds everything you have survived and everything you are becoming. For years I protected mine because life felt too sharp and heavy. I performed. I adapted. I kept going even when my spirit begged for rest. Most of us do this in midlife. We carry the world on our backs until we forget who we are on the inside.
Just Jelly was born from the moment I decided to stop living from the outside in and start listening to the voice within. The voice that says you can heal, you can change, you can grow, and you can ask for more from your life. Alignment is not perfection. Alignment is honesty. It is letting your life reflect what feels right, not what keeps everyone else comfortable.

When I started this journey, Just Jelly was supposed to be a podcast hosted by two best friends. What I did not know was that my best friend’s health struggles would keep her from joining me. I scrambled to honor my commitments, find a co host, and keep my promise to my sponsors. What I did not see coming was that God had a different plan.
Hosting Just Jelly for three seasons has taught me more about myself than forty three years of living ever did. I discovered strength I did not know I had. I stepped into confidence I did not know was mine. I found out that my voice matters, and I am allowed to take up space. Through loss, betrayal, friendship shifts, and the messy middle seasons, I grew into the woman God intended me to be.
This podcast forced me to face insecurities that were hiding in plain sight. It stretched me. It changed me. It built my village. It reminded me that greatness lives inside all of us, we just have to soften enough to hear it.

Starting scared taught me to trust myself. I learned to let the plans change, to release control, to rise above the noise in my mind. If I had not run, Lavish Life Living would not exist.
